New releases

Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon reserve is now here for tasting
and purchase – This wine was aged in new American Oak barrels and has classic plum, black cherry and cedar flavors as well as an oaky nose and smooth finish. Buy one at the winery for just $28+tax

Placer Farm and Barn Tour

Sunday, October 13th from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at our winery

This is the first year that we will be showcasing our flock of registered American Blackbelly sheep during the Placer Farm and Barn Tour.  The winery will also be open for tasting that day.  Come by and feed or pet our sheep.  Even pre-order a 2014 lamb or two for next spring.  Watch out for the rams.

2013 Crush is on

Over the next two months you may catch us hauling or crushing grapes at the winery depending on harvest dates.  Please bear with us if you catch us dripping with sticky grape juice or flexing our biceps as we punch down the cap on our fermentation tanks.
We’ll still be open every weekend for tasting and purchases at
the winery.

Coming soon

Our 2009 Sangiovese reserve is in the bottle and will be ready to taste in a few more weeks towards the end of September.  This
wine was aged in recouped French Oak barrels and has flavors of black current, mulberry and plum with high acidity and low tannins.

Our 2009 Grizzly Syrah is in the bottle and will be ready to taste around the same time as the Sangio above.  This wine yields powerful flavors of blackberry and black liquorice and was aged in both neutral and recouped American Oak.
